Former Jazz draft bust Kirk Snyder was arrested in Ohio yesterday. Apparently, Snyder broke into his neighbor's house in suburban Cincinnati and was beating up some dude until the dude's wife pulled the hood that was covering Snyder's face. So Snyder ran home. A few minutes later, police dogs tracked him (to his home) and he was arrested.
Surprisingly, Kirk never really meshed with the Jazz.

He didn't, but as I recall, Crotty, you thought we let him go too early. And by "too early" I think you meant "before he started assaulting dudes."
I once thought Synderman was a terrific draft pick. Boy, was I wrong.
On May 10, 2007, Crotty Kid wrote the following in an email to most of the contributors of this Blog:
"I also liked the Kris Humphries/Kirk Snyder draft but thought we gave up on both those guys two quickly because of Sloan."
Hmmmmmm. Is it Sloan's fault that Snyder is the slammer now?
What a tragedy!
I readily admit that I thought we gave up on Snyder too early. He was much more talented than any swingman we had at the time.
I did not know about his proclivity for assaulting neighbors. But, to be honest, I'm not sure that would have altered my opinion of him in any meaningful way. I've always had a soft spot for thugs.
