Hollinger's Odds

According to the ever-trustworthy and future-seeing John Hollinger of ESPN.com, the Jazz have a 9.7% chance of getting to the 2009 NBA Finals, and a 3.0% chance of winning the 2009 NBA Finals.

Can we pray for that 3%?

Hollinger is usually a big Jazz guy actually. Last year he thought we were the second best team in the West at playoff time and even speculated we could knock off the Lakers if we were on our game.

While Hollinger's stats are interesting, his playoff odds are the lamest ESPN marketing device ever created. About 3 weeks into the season he is saying that certain teams have a 100% chance of making the playoffs. That doesn't make any sense.

. . . it does if you believe in Destiny, which The Crotty Kid obviously does NOT.

The Crotty Kid also does not believe in Love.
